It was a gorgeous evening out at Laguna Beach as I welcomed Daniel for our 6 Hour Tiger And Hammerhead Shark Trip with Drop Zone Fishing Charters. May is a prime time for shore-based shark fishing here, as the warming waters bring these impressive predators close to the beaches. The weather was perfect - partly cloudy with just a slight breeze, though we did catch a short rain shower in the late afternoon. 

We got set up on the sand with some heavy tackle gear, chum, and live bait. It didn't take long before Daniel's rod bent over hard - he was into a feisty Bonnethead Shark! That fish put up one heck of a fight, making some powerful runs and tail-walking across the surface. Daniel kept his cool and worked it in steadily, and we soon had the shark close enough to grab the leader. After a quick photo, we released the Bonnethead back into the surf, none the worse for wear. 

The bite stayed fairly consistent through the evening, with Daniel hooking into a few more Bonnetheads. Though we didn't manage to land any bigger Tiger or Hammerhead Sharks this time, it was still an exciting and productive day of shore fishing. The rain passed quickly, and we had the beach mostly to ourselves, with just the sound of the waves and an occasional seabird to keep us company.

6 Hour Family Beach Shark Charter

We do this trip out of Navarre, Florida from October 14th- December 1st. There is a current that pushes large pelagic sharks up on the bank in Navarre during this time. We get large Dusky sharks cruising the beaches. These are hard fighting pelagic sharks between 9-13 ft. Navarre is one of the only places in the world you can catch these pelagic sharks off the beach. We also have bycatch like tiger sharks, hammerheads, sandbar sharks and mako. Try to contact in advance about a date with good weather for this trip as the bite can be more dependent on this compared to summer species.&nbsp;

24 Hour Fall Pelagic Shark Special Trip

This trip is for targeting just bull sharks. Bull sharks here average between 5-10ft and weigh from 80-500 pounds. A solid medium sized shark. We have spots where there are thousands of bull sharks spawning and it will be the only shark species we are hooking. If you want to do this trip we will not be fishing our spots for hammerhead or tiger sharks and we will be dropping slightly smaller baits. This is the perfect trip if you want to experience catching a large shark. We offer this trip in Panama City Beach, Destin, Navarre and everywhere in between.

5 Hour Bull Shark Trip

The Sand Tiger Shark is one of our favorite shark species. It is not to be confused with the normal Tiger Shark. This shark prefers cold waters and stays to far north for us to target in Florida besides for 1 month out of the year. During this time in January thousands of them will be migrating to the southern most point of their range. This is in Jacksonvile and they congregrate very good here. We typically catch multiple per night and they are all large adult migrating fish. Small numbers of great whites and tiger sharks are also in the area but it is typically only sand tiger sharks.&nbsp;

This is 4 hour family oriented trip targeting whatever sharks are in the area. We focus on getting as many bites as possible. We drop fresh chunks of tuna, mackerel and ray to assure a fast bite.
